Morse & Co Client Hosts Annual Movie Event for Local Families

On Saturday, December 3rd, long-time Morse & Company client, Members Advantage Credit Union, hosted its annual Penny Panda Saver Club Christmas Movie event in Michigan City, Ind.

Over 400 Penny Panda kids and parents attended the screening of "The Muppet Movie" and had a very fun time all thanks to Members Advantage Credit Union.

Kids even had the chance to meet Santa before the movie started.

Morse & Company Designs 2012 Chicago Auto Show Invites

Morse & Company has recently teamed up with the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago to design invitations to the 2011 Chicago Auto Show's First Look for Charity event.

The annual auto show First Look event supports the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago as well as 17 other Chicago area charities.

This year's black-tie attire First Look will be held February 9 at the McCormick Place.

Included in this post are inside and outside views of the invitations. These invitations were sent out all over the country - quite an expansive audience and great exposure for such sharp looking invitations.

Morse & Co. Client Attend Porter Co. Expo

Long-time Morse & Company client, Members Advantage Credit Union attended the Porter County Chamber Coalition Network Night on October 27th.

MACU was displaying a slew of materials from the new ad series designed by Morse & Company seen behind Roxanne Cantrell (Portage branch manager) and Jamie Barnett (Michigan City branch manager). The new "We R Not A Bank" advertising series was a big hit with all who visited MACU's booth.

More than 150 businesses packed the Porter County Expo Center presenting to more than 1,000 visitors from all over NW Indiana.

Morse & Co Designs New Logo for Michigan City Area Schools

Morse & Company Advertising just released its newest creation for the entire Michigan City Area Schools - a new, unifying school system logo. Thanks to the creative eye of our design staff as well as the dedication and marketing savvy of our account executives heading up this project, a beautiful and effective product was unveiled to a crowd of pleased school officials and community members.

Here is an excerpt from the Michigan City News-Dispatch front-page article written about the logo unveiling at a previous school board meeting:

Michigan City Area Schools has a new logo symbolizing unity within the school system.

At Tuesday night’s school board meeting, MCAS Director of Communications Besty Kohn presented the new logo designed by local advertising agency Morse & Company. It features two figures reaching toward a start in front of a lighthouse and waves of water.

Kohn said the new logo incorporates the tagline “Opportunity – Excellence – Pride,” directly derived from words in MCAS’ mission statement.

The new logo will be phased into MCAS stationery, business cards and other office effects after products with the old logo have been used to make the change cost-effective and environmentally friendly, Kohn said.

The new logo was designed, she said, to unify the school corporation under one image and mission, instead of the ever-present red apple and lighthouse logos of previous years.

In addition to a new logo, MCAS will receive a new website created in collaboration with School-wires, a website host specializing in educational sites. Work will begin this week, with a final unveiling later this fall.

Board member Jeffrey Jones said the new logo and website will help MCAS brand itself in an age when marketing and image are becoming more important for schools across the nation.

“We are now in that era,” Jones said. “This allows us to tell our story more efficiently and effectively.”

One of TheBeachCoast.com's most established writers, Wade Rouse, has taken the lead as editor for a new book out right now. The book is "I'm Not the Biggest Bitch in This Relationship - Hilarious, Heartwarming Tales about Man's Best Friend" which compiles a slew of hilarious essays from hilarious humorists. There's even a foreword from Chelsea Handler's dog, Chunk.

Long-time Morse & Co Client to Host Event

A long-time Morse & Company client, Members Advantage Credit Union, will be partnering with Bosak Honda, 710 E. U.S. Hwy 20 for its first MACU & Bosak Auto Loan Days.

Smooth Jazz at South Shore: Photos

Here are some great photos from this year's Smooth Jazz at South Shore concert. The concert took place in Washington Park in Michigan City, Ind. on August 20th. The line-up included: The Sax Pack, starring: Jeff Kashiwa, Kim Waters and Steve Cole with opening performances by Darren Rahn and Nate Harasim.

Thousands of concert goers travel to Michigan City, Indiana (Morse & Co.'s hometown) to take part in the annual jazz experience. Smooth Jazz at South Shore is one of the premier music festivals in the Midwest, created to expose the residents of Michigan City, La Porte County and the surrounding areas in Indiana to culturally diverse and internationally-acclaimed artists. It has become a national attraction, allowing the concert to give every cent of profits back to the community, benefiting the Sand Castle Shelter for Children and Families, Stepping Stone Shelter for Abused Women and the American Red Cross La Porte County Chapter. 

Celebrity/Children’s Forum
In addition, just before the concert, 100 children from La Porte County and surrounding areas have the privilege of attending the Celebrity/Children’s Forum, geared to children in middle and high school. Students learn what it takes to be a successful musician, but most importantly, what it takes to be successful in life.

Dunebrook to Host Annual Fundraiser

Dunebrook, the LaPorte County Child Abuse Prevention Council, is hosting its annual fundraising gala Saturday, September 24, 2011.

This year's theme is getting the royal treatment, taking cue from the recent royal wedding overseas and creating a regal and high-brow event at Pottawattomie Country Club to help raise money for the organization. Without the donations throughout the year, Dunebrook wouldn't be able to offer its classes, provide childcare or even keep its doors open. Dunebrook has done a wonderful job helping this community, so it's time to help Dunebrook.

There will be great food, great people, having a great time for a great cause. Come out and have a ball - it's going to be a royal affair!

IPN Messaging Brochure Design Project

Morse & Company recently completed the design and production of the product brochure for NW Indiana client, IPN Messaging. This in-depth and complex project was a great accomplishment making this an entire office effort! Great job, Morse & Co!

With almost 40 years of experience in the wireless communications industry, IPN Messaging has the largest and most comprehensive paging system in Indiana and the greater Chicagoland area. 

Morse & Company has designed IPN's materials to assist in the promotion of the newest product, MessageSync®, through tradeshow displays, flyers, and most recently, a tri-fold brochure. In addition, an app icon was designed for the product to be used with smartphone technology.

Check out some new artwork Morse & Company has designed for the City of Valpo's ChicaGO Dash


One of Morse & Company's clients is the City of Valparaiso which is now using Morse & Company to help with the promotion of its new bus line, the ChicaGO Dash.

The Dash is a weekday bus service to and from Chicago for those commuting from NW Indiana. The City of Valparaiso has been running ads in local NW Indiana newspapers and the ad included in this blog post is an ad that has recently run.

It's been too long since we here at Morse & Company have had our beloved chili cheese hot dogs but the waiting game has finally ended - Carlson's Drive-In (located in Michigan City) opens today, February 3rd!

The one remedy many of us here in Michigan City have been using for centuries to correct the funk that lingers after a blizzard is the old trick of eating two chili cheese dogs and then  washing them down with a frothy mug of root beer. Morse & Company recommends to give the remedy a whirl if you have any symptoms of Blizzard-itis lingering.

Morse & Co Client Spotlight: Metro Auto Recyclers' Neil Samahon Photography

Neil Samahon, a client of Morse & Company Advertising, owns Metro Auto Recyclers in Valparaiso, Ind, but don't think that's the only interest in his life. Neil also has a love for photography so much so he travels all over the world snapping sensational frames wowing the everyone in the Morse & Company office.

His most recent trip took him to Antarctica. Although the terrain here in the Midwest looks much like it does in Antarctica, the photography he has posted to his gallery website is absolutely phenomenal. Morse & Company has enjoyed his frames so much we want to share it all with our social media family. Enjoy!

Morse & Company designs Auto Show invitations for Boys & Girls Club of Chicago

Morse & Company has recently teamed up with the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago to design invitations to the 2011 Chicago Auto Show's First Look for Charity event.

The annual auto show First Look event supports the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago as well as 17 other Chicago area charities.

This year's black-tie attire First Look will be held February 10 in the McCormick Place.

Included in the post are inside and outside views of the invitations. These invitations were sent out all over the country - what an expansive audience and exposure for sharp looking invitations.

Another installment of MCAS Success Story campaign from Morse & Company

Michigan City Area Schools (MCAS) has teamed up with Morse & Company for another installment of the Success Story ad campaign.

Over the years, many success stories have come out of MCAS but these tend to get pushed aside in the media by less positive stories that usually riddle the news. Every so often, a former student of MCAS and their story get highlighted in an ad that then gets distributed to local media giving merit to those usually unheard of stories.

New Client: Valpo ATA Black Belt Academy

Morse & Company would like to welcome Valpo ATA Black Belt Academy as a new client!

Over the next few weeks our designers and sales executives will be working along with the academy helping them market and advertise.

City of Valpo's ChicaGO Dash Bus Wraps

Morse & Company is working along with the City of Valparaiso, Ind. to market and promote the ChicaGO Dash bus service.

The Dash drives every day from Valparaiso to downtown Chicago creating an easy and comfortable solution to the usual traffic nightmare of I-94 or the Toll Road for those commuters of NW Indiana.

Of the new items Morse & Company has designed for the Dash, these graphic bus wraps are most noticeable and are seen far and wide every day all over NW Indiana through to Chicago on its trips. Be on the look out for more Dash promotion on the bus's website - especially a new video!
